Chef BasketChef Basket Review

The Chef Basket is a handy new item that’s one of those as seen on tv TeleBrands deals that is just perfect for anyone who loves to cook. It is a combination strainer, colander and deep frying  frying kitchen basket. The all-in-one Chef Basket is  unique in it’s ability to fold down flat for easy storage. No need to wrestle with a hot pot, simply lift the handle and take your foodstraight from the pot to your plate, or hang it over the sink for a minute to drain. You can use the Chef Basket to boil, deep fry, steam, poach, blanch and even par-boil.  The Chef Basket, in my opinion, is one of those must have items you can use almost every day in your kitchen. Its not just one of those novelty gifts that nobody will ever use. Its one of those kitchen products I use all the time. If you are looking for one of those unique gifts that people really use, then maybe you should order chef basket.

I mostly use my Chef Basket for cooking pasta.  I just boil a big pot of water, drop my noodles into the Chef Basket and then immerse the basket into the pot of boiling water. When it’s all done, I simply pull the Chef Basket out of the pot, hold it over the sink for a couple of seconds and give it a little shake and toss and its ready to simply dump it into serving dish. If you have ever wrestled with a big heavy pot of boiling water and trying to dump it into a strainer into the sink, you already know what a hassle this is, but with the Chef Basket, its a simple and safe as it can possibly get with the stay-cool handle built into the Chef Basket! I know what you are saying… “I know its one of those nifty unusual gifts, but does it work?” Well, I wouldn’t be writing one of thse Chef Basket Reviews if it didn’t!

What Can You Cook With Your Chef Basket?

I actually don’t do a whole lot of deep frying, but I do fry up some deep fried shrimp once in awhile, and my husband loves to fry up hot-wings whenever his friends come over and watch the game. I have to tell you… My husband is a pretty big mess maker and I always dreaded him tearing up the kitchen just to make some hot wings. The Chef Basket has probably saved me at least several hours of cleanup by making it as mess free as possible for my hubbie alone! Hahah. I mostly use mine for pasta noodles and a steamer for steaming fresh vegetables and I leave him to do all the deep frying french fries. It makes a great collander too so you can use it for all kinds of food preparation. Its not just a deep fryer, but a handy little cooking helper that you can even use it to boil eggs. The fact that they have this buy one get one free deal is nice, so I have one that I can dedicate to deep frying and one just for noodles and things like that. They collapse down and stack on top of each other nice and neat, and I highly recommend it.

The Chef Basket comes with a pretty good little recipe guide, but it is pretty much a no-brainer. You can use it to deep fry, or boil just about anything. It folds down nice and flat making it easy to store. I got mine from the official chef basket website because of the buy 1 get 1 deal because you just cant beat it!
